This is a big problem in #recruitment #HR #talent but also in a wider sense.
Issue is, no one admits it as we’re all too busy telling people “we don’t see colour” “age is but a number” etc. etc.
Here’s a real test for you.
You receive a LinkedIn connection request from a member based in India or China. You don’t know this person and there is no InMail or personalised invite.
Do you take the time to view their profile, research their company and decide if this is a connection worth having or delete immediately and report that ‘you don’t know this person’ when prompted?
This is why people with photos, DOB or addresses on their CVs don’t get asked to interview and yes it sucks, however people in glass houses and all that…
